It is important we get to know each other.

“No way!”
My dads words when I asked him at the age of 12 if he would buy me a drum kit. Once he realised how passionate about music I was he gave in and bought me one under the condition it stayed in the garage.
Being creative through music was extremely important to me growing up and after falling in love with recording and studio engineering it seemed only fitting to squeeze that drum kit into my car and fly off to study Music Technology at the University of Hertfordshire.
Capturing great audio is so important to me while I’m filming on a wedding day. Sounds of the day are often over looked, yet vital to keep those moments real forever.

After university I signed on the dotted line and joined the Armed Forces as a bandsman and became a drummer/bugler with the Royal Marines Band Service. Here I was able to travel the world performing at home and overseas while maintaining a creative interest in audio and visual technology.
My skills with a camera and the ability to edit footage to a high quality landed me the job as ‘Video Production Manager’ with the Royal Marines for their annual concerts at the Royal Albert Hall.

Since then I seek a more simple life, living in the West Country exploring the Devon coastline with my wife, daughter and son in our little campervan. Moving into a career as a wedding videographer I can combine my love for audio and visual technology with the interaction of people, in love, and looking to find a high quality product that will last for a lifetime.

Why Wedding Films?

While traveling to foreign horizons with the Royal Marines I craved a way to store all the memories I was making with friends and colleagues. So I bought a sports camera, something small to hide in my drum case. I then documented and edited videos of all my trips and the places I performed. Soon co-workers became interested in my videos and wanted them for themselves to keep as memorabilia. I realised then the importance of documenting key moments in your life and the pleasure in watching them back many years later.

“Hey Sean, you know about cameras and stuff right? Fancy filming my wedding?”
The educated tones from one of my colleagues.
I jumped into it with keen ambitions to make the best film I possibly could for a friend and loved every minute.
For me a wedding film needs to be beautiful. It needs to feel cinematic and stylistic with all the key elements of the day. I want to capture grandma smiling and joking. I want to capture dad’s embarrassing dance moves and I want to capture the best man stealing the lime light both in the speech and at the bar.

Of course I want to showcase the connection from the couple also and the moments they share navigating through one of the best days of their lives.

It's so important to document your life in this way and look back in years to come with such joy and love.

I look back at my old, badly filmed trips with the Royal Marines with such fondness. Equally looking back at my own wedding film with such love and want to deliver that feeling to all my couples.
What a great gift to give!
